Position Title: Manager of Clinic Operations
Effectively manages all operational aspects of the assigned clinic(s). Works closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and clinic goals are met. Proactively determines workload priorities through planning, coordination and managing staff and providers to meet the administrative, operational and support requirements. Engages staff and promotes a positive culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care consistent with Dignity Health's mission, vision, and values..
Participates in work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing improvement in clinic operations. Provides value-added and productive input and expertise to drive continual improvement, support standardization and streamlining and to resolve ongoing patient care issues.
Supports the established processes and systems to enhance customer service. Provides coaching to staff to enhance customer service skills and ensure patients and internal employees and providers receive excellent customer service. Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, providers and visitors, and operates clinic in compliance with all legal, regulatory and Dignity Health requirements impacting areas of responsibilities.
Assists in determining the workload priorities to enable timely completion of tasks. Supports the ongoing technical and professional training and development of staff to enhance clinic and individual performance and staff career growth. Monitors work performance of staff and providers and supports necessary training and coaching.
Assists in managing the revenue cycle. With adequate management of template (i.e., provider schedules), balances number of visits/services with operational revenue requirements. Supports the management of supply costs, tracks inventory usage, using purchasing information management systems, including maintaining staffing levels that adhere to labor standards and effectively controlling staff premium pay.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize the tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor budgets.
Knowledge of an organization's billing requirements; the ability to utilize the proper tools and follow accounts receivable practices and procedures.
Knowledge of healthcare industry's trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a healthcare center; ability to use this knowledge to ensure the healthcare center performance is efficient and effective.
Knowledge of healthcare industry audit processes conducted by external organizations or agencies; ability to prepare for the entire audit process.
Education and Experience:
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in related field. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
Licensure: None specified.
Special Skills: Working knowledge of community clinic/health center operations.
Training: None specified.
Five years working in a health center setting. Experience in the supervision and evaluation of staff. ?Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. ?Demonstrates knowledge of the principles, standard practices, procedures and equipment utilized in front and back office medical management. ?Ability to coordinate patient care ?Computer skills in Excel, Word and electronic medical records ?Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures. ?Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills. *Must possess a working knowledge of CDPH regulatory requirements ?Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergencies and unpredictable situations. ?Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English and Spanish, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
