Responsibilities

About This Position

In keeping with Marian Medical Center healthcare philosophy, the Materials Clerk supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care by checking and maintaining inventory and stock levels in all patient care areas as well as in the Central Materials Distribution area.

Delivers equipment and medical supplies to patient care areas and other off-campus location by driving small delivery truck. Must have a current valid California driving license and proof of current insurance. Must give authorization to MMC for release of DMV records.

Selection Criteria

Six to twelve months of related experience desired. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members. Ability to prioritize work and is able to work without close supervision; has a memory for details. Ability to function in a fast-paced, every-changing environment. Ability to respond to telephone requests in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical supplies Ability to work proficiently with Windows based PC applications Performs a daily counting of nursing storage locations to include IV Solutions and medical surgical suppliesStocks supplies including plain IV solutions and pre-packaged procedural supplies and trays containing select manufacturer prepared procedural items Must have a current valid California driving license and proof of current insurance. Must give authorization to MMC for release of DMV records.
