Lockheed Martin Program Planner - Satellite Processing in Lompoc, California
The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
The Program Planner will perform daily integration of work tasks into a schedule format using Microsoft Project 2010 software.
Update schedule and identify conflicts on a daily basis.
Develop an integrated satellite processing schedule that includes facility readiness milestones, detailed satellite tasks and after launch activities from multiple organizations.
Generate and maintain individual engineering and project schedules.
Present daily schedule in multi-organization environment, incorporate real time updates and field questions.
The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 3 years of professional experience. Candidates without degrees who have equivalent experience/combined education (11 years of relevant experience) will also be considered.
Must have intermediate level skills with Microsoft Project 2007 (or newer software) and intermediate level skills with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Outlook
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance w/ poly.
Desired skills Current experience with Microsoft Project 2010 scheduling software.
Familiar with Western Test Range coordination and Readiness-day checklist development.
Previous experience with integrated satellite processing schedule development.
Familiar with Maximo workforce management software.
Strong organizational skills
Good communication skills
Willing to work occasional weekends, night shift and extended hours
