Raytheon Sr. Plan Production Control Spec I in Goleta, California

Responsible for Material Planning and Production Control functions. Plan inventory levels and shop floor order releases based on dependent and independent demand via Bill of Material (BOM) requirements. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of manual and automated Material Requirement Planning (MRP) tools, and material distribution or work order release using time-phased concepts. Tasks associated with the Production Control function include but are not limited to analyzing material positions, releasing work orders and tracking sub-assemblies as well as top level assemblies through production per the schedule requirements, requesting material from the warehouse and kitting components to the next higher assembly, analyzing work-in-process (WIP) to evaluate program position, set material and assembly priorities with Functional and Line Managers to ensure adherence to the Master Production Schedule, coordinate efforts across functions to process discrepant material in a timely manner, prepare reports and status manufacturing progress within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) atmosphere as well as participating in various factory meetings, and review contract requirements for end-item deliveries while generating the request for shipping documentation. The candidate must possess good communication skills and be able to lead projects. Required Skills: Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a Manufacturing/Production Control environment Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must be organized with the ability to plan and coordinate multiple tasks Experience within an automated Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system U.S. Citizenship Ability to Obtain U.S. Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date Desired Skills: Able to communicate within a cross-functional team environment.
