Job Description -should include job duties and any special requirements (lifting, etc): This is an IT position supporting the Raytheon engineering community. The position is to work with a large IT program support team in support of engineering programs. The candidate is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related Windows infrastructure for both the classified and unclassified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, desktop support, server support, storage management ; access management; data backup and restoration; and software and license configuration support. The ideal candidate is organized, able to multi-task, be able to work independently as well as a member of a team, and have good problem solving skills. The candidate should be customer-focused. The candidate’s work will be performed under general direction. The candidate will contribute to projects focused on the smooth transition of bringing IT solutions into production within the project life-cycle. The candidate will frequently interact with inter-organizational contacts in representing the IT Program Execution organization in the support of SAS engineering end-user community. Required Skills: Ability to obtain security clearance In-depth knowledge of operating system concepts and implementations Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support (e.g. user and computer objects administration, management of OU) Experience with Microsoft Windows Server systems support (e.g. Windows Server 2003, 2008,2016 General understanding of networking in the Microsoft Windows environment. 2 to 4 years of experience in support of Microsoft Windows desktops (e.g. Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10 Experience with supporting desktop / workstation hardware Experience with an IT incident/service request system Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong customer interaction skills with users of all levels Desired Skills: Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec NetBackup, or strong understanding of server backup Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain ITIL Foundations v3 Experience using or administrating UNIX/Linux Experience with support and administration of Microsoft Server domains.
