Raytheon Part-time Sr Multi-Discipline Engr II in Goleta, California

Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) develops and manufactures electro-optics and infrared camera engines. Goleta CA Operations is seeking a part-time senior process engineering lead with experience in thin film processing and process integration. The candidate will work to improve yield on existing processes, sustain process capability via the implementation of statistical process control methods (using JMP or minitab) and transition to production new processes in a timely manner. Candidate will be responsible for identifying new equipment needs as well as specifying configuration. Required Skills: 6+ years semiconductor manufacturing experience Experience with optical coating process improvements with emphasis on repeatability and process capability Expertise in Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Demonstrated leadership skills and fostering a team environment Proven experience with cycle time reduction with relevant technologies in high rate production lines Experience in driving fabrication yield improvements in a timely manner Effective communication and technical writing skills Familiarity with a cleanroom work environment A motivated and self-starting individual who interacts well in a team environment that includes both company colleagues and customers Willingness to be hands on with process equipment and advise instrument support on equipment requirements U.S. Citizenship Ability to Obtain U.S. Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date Desired Skills: MS in engineering discipline Project Management experience Experience using JMP Experience in commercial and DOD environment Experience leading a technical team Knowledge of semiconductor industry best practices in wafer fabrication, metrology, and material characterization Experience in advanced process development Experience in product failure analysis including analytical techniques such as SEM, FIB, ESCA, TOF-SIMs, SIMS, XRD Must be able to effectively communicate across functional departments, as well as with external customers and suppliers Responsible for decisive clear decisions to achieve major organizational objectives Required Education: Bachelors’ degree in Engineering Science or Material Science Desired Education: Masters’ degree or PhD in material science, physics, chemistry, or electrical engineering preferred This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
