Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California Center provides programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Goleta, CA, this position is responsible for serving as liaison between the individual served, appropriate agencies, and community .
Responsibilities of the Executive on Duty include but are not limited to:
Ideal candidate will have the availability to work Wednesday thorugh Sunday or Thursday through Monday
Work with program supervisors to manage staffing needs accross all programs
Responds to staffing needs to fill vacancies due to direct care staff call outs that occur during shift and on weekends
Provides guidance and support to direct care staff ; supports weekends staff by conducting "rounds"/check-ins
Completes Special Incident Reports and initiates Radar for serious incidents that occur over the weekend.
Schedules staff to attend core trainings
Conducts direct care staff interviews
Conducts orientation to programs
Enforces Devereux policies and procedures
Compiles information regarding significant individual served behaviors and communicates to the appropriate members of the team..
Coordinates and may participate in crisis prevention and intervention; client escorts/restraints, as well as administering clients prescribed medications.
Participates in Leadership and Quality Management meetings
Coach and train staff in PSR spot-checks, software systems i.e. RADAR, Profiler, and Sophia
Be well-versed in all emergency procedures and informed of all new protocols.

Bachelors degree preferred, minimum 2 years of college
Minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.**
Requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Regularly requires lifting/moving weight of up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.**
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities, make decisions and adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas and technologies, communicate and successfully interact with various personalities both internally and externally. Significant and frequent use of physical requirements associated with verbal and written communication.
